What does treatment look like at Skare Spine and Performance?
At Skare Spine and Performance, our treatment goes beyond chiropractic adjustments. We combine a range of manual therapy techniques in a standard treatment to reduce pain and enhance function effectively. Our comprehensive approach includes chiropractic manipulation, soft-tissue work, rehabilitative exercises, dry needling, and other personalized techniques based on your specific condition and goals.
What does a typical treatment plan look like?
Our treatment plans typically span 6-8 visits over 3-4 weeks for most individuals. This allows us to address the underlying functional deficits that contribute to pain. We keep the treatment plan relatively short so that we can adjust as necessary and closely monitor your progress. If additional improvements are needed, or a referral is necessary, this timeframe allows for flexibility.
What does my first visit look like?
Depending on your exact condition, your first visit will include some or all of the following:
- A detailed history
- Neurological Assessment
- Biomechanical Assessment
- Orthopedic Assessment
- Joint Palpation
- Assessment of soft-tissue tone, tension, and trigger points
- McKenzie Assessment
- Your goals for care
- Same Day Treatment
How long does it take for my pain to go away?
Several different factors can determine how long it takes for pain to go away.
- Age
- Lifestyle (obesity, smoking, diet, etc.)
- Stress
- Activity level
- Duration of dysfunction
- Health and family history
- Prior imaging findings (X-rays, MRI, etc.)
- Our exam findings
Our goal is to consider all of your factors when putting together a plan that works best for you. Most patients find relief in the first few visits.
Will I have to keep coming back?
Our primary objective is to equip you with the necessary tools and knowledge to take control of your health. Once patients complete their treatment plans, many choose to opt for periodic maintenance or wellness care to ensure they continue to feel good and maintain their progress.
Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?
No, our adjustments are comfortable, gentle, and effective.
